Besides his work as a (solo) musician, Ignatz also works as a soundtrack composer. He creates for and contributes music to movies, TV-shows and theater plays.
Movies
Ignatz’s songs are featured on the soundtrack of ‘Altiplano‘. Altiplano is the long-feature film of the critically acclaimed directors Peter Brosens and Jessica Woodworth, released in 2009.
Also in 2009, Ignatz has composed music for ‘What’s in a Name‘, a documentary made by director Eva Küpper. The movie is a biography of Jon Cory (a.k.a. Rose Wood), a charismatic New York performance artist.
In 2013, Ignatz has contributed songs to the soundtrack of ‘PS Sao Paulo‘, video letters from Brussels and Sao Paulo made by director Leni Huyghe.
TV-shows
In 2017, Ignatz has created music for ‘België Scherpgesteld‘. In this documentary series made for CANVAS TV, Jurgen Buedts tells the story of Belgian photographers, today and in the past and their view of Belgium.
Theatre
In 2015 Ignatz has composed and performed the live soundtrack for the play ‘Timothy’ by ‘De Mannschaft‘.
In 2018 and 2019 Ignatz and Tomas De Smet have created the live soundtrack for the play ‘Liedje voor Gigi‘ by Benjamin Verdonck (Toneelhuis). They did an extensive European tour.
